Three slitting methods of slitting machine

Slitting Machine has three methods of slitting process, flat knife slitting, round knife slitting, and extrusion slitting.

1.Flat knife slitting

a single-sided blade or a double-sided blade is fixed on a fixed knife holder, and the knife is dropped during the material operation, so that the knife cuts the material longitudinally to achieve the purpose of slitting.

2. Circular knife slitting

Circular knife slitting machine is the kind of slitting machines we make, can be divided into tangent slitting and non-tangent slitting.

The tangent cutting is to cut the material from the tangential direction of the upper and lower disc cutters. This kind of slitting is relatively convenient. The upper disc cutter and the lower disc cutter can be easily adjusted the position directly according to the slitting width requirements. Its disadvantage is that the material is easy to drift at the slit, so the accuracy is not high, and it is generally not used now.

Non-tangential slitting means that the material and the lower disc knife have a certain wrap angle. The lower disc knife falls and cuts the material. This cutting method can make the material not easy to drift, and the cutting accuracy is high. But the knife adjustment is not very convenient. When installing the lower disc cutter, the entire shaft must be removed. Circular knife slitting is suitable for slitting thicker composite films, paper, metal strips, etc..

3. Extrusion Slitting

Extrusion slitting is not common on domestic slitting machines. It is mainly composed of a bottom roller that is synchronized with the speed of the material and has a certain angle with the material, and a pneumatic knife that is easy to adjust. This slitting method can slit thinner plastic films, thicker paper and non-woven fabrics. It is a more convenient way of cutting. It is a development direction of slitting method of slitting machine.
